Lazy to blog day

Saturday is lazy-to-blog day.

How's your weekend so far?

The glittery part of my life

Just once in a bluemoon in my pathetic-than-usual life, I get to experience a little bit of glitter and glamour that "mere mortals" might not have a chance of experiencing. To cut the whole story short, I went for YuXie Awards show last weekend at Genting. The whole show was.. well.. long. VERY long.

The fun part was that we get to join the after party where you get to rub shoulders with all the people of the industry.

I get to meet up with long-time-no-see friends:

Then get really drunk and party with fun chicks:

Not forgetting meeting up with old gangs and "families":

Overall the whole event was nice... Well other than the part where my song did not manage to win an award, AND the fact that I have to sit there till my butt go numb (five friggin hours) of course....

It was all worth it when I get to take a photo with the best-supporting-actress-nominee, Lai Meng:

I felt sorry for her that she had to share the same name as some good-looking-but-not-good-in-anything-else brat. But I tell you, she was the STAR of the whole after party! Everybody wants to take a pic with her until she never really get a chance to nibble on her food! And for someone over 80, she is in really good shape! Even though she needs a little assistant when walking, but to imagine that she can still be active in an acting career she has got my salute!

Update from our dear friend

Apparently our friend wasn't so "suspended" after all...

..Suspended Bukit Bendera Umno chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail was given a warrior’s welcome, complete with presentation of regalia such as a keris (traditional Malay sword), when he turned up for the division’s delegates conference..

NewsPick from TheStar.com.my: Warrior’s welcome for Ahmad Ismail of ‘pendatang’ infamy

Dear Pak Lah.. Can you tell me how is your statement ever gonna be possible? How can "Anyone" be PM? How?

Anyone can be PM

This moring, the news read:

It is possible for anyone from a minority group to be a nation’s leader, even in Malaysia, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi.

What a joke! I was laughing out loud until tears rolled out of my eyes.. Yes, I actually cried, because deep down inside I knew this is a very cruel joke.

Do you expect us to believe a CHANGE is gonna happen in our beloved country when it is STILL being ruled by people who:

  1. Make a huge fuss when somebody suggested turning Penang's street-name-signs multi-lingual.
  2. Still refer to "other races" as "immigrants" (then barbarically tear down their photo; and arrested the reporter who reported on the incident for her own safety).
  3. Try to put a ban on Avril's concert because she is too "SEXY"
You've gotta give praise to our country for being a BOLEH-land, where everything also "boleh"... on paper (theoretically)!
