Cold as hell

My first impression after stepping off the exit door of the airport is this: SO THE VERY COLD~
It is really nostalgic as it is exactly the same reaction I had when I step off SFO. It's like mother earth forgot to turn off the air-cond. Don't get me wrong I love cooler weather as opposed to the hotter ones. But when the cold wind is added on with rain (drizzle), it limits the outdoor fun.

Well, first u have the rain... plus the wind la, of course.

Then there comes the nightmare... TRAFFIC JAM! It took us 2+hours to get to Taipei from the airport (as opposed to a normal 1 hour drive).. And it was already 11+pm when we finally reached Taipei.

"Hungry as hell" was my impression when I was stuck on the traffic jam... As our previous meal was served at 5:30pm on the plane... And can you imagine dinner at 12am~~~ So the first thing after checking in at the hotel is to "cure my stomach"!

Luckily the food is nice... or maybe becos I am just pure hungry la. My compliments to the 2 soups above, nice and sweet. One pork soup, and the other one seafood soup. However, the fried noodle and veggie was not really my cuppa tea (I dare not say not nice la, nanti kena marah).

Of course, the FOOD file for the first day of touch down wouldn't be complete without the ever famous "CHEEEEE PhAI". If u ask me, the name is much more famous than the food itself. And yes, "chee phai" tastes nice as well.

Well... I'm actually tired as hell... So I'm just gonna stop here for now.

Hurts like hell

Dear diary;

An early morning phone call woke me up this morning. A call which was destined to shape my whole day. It was the somebody from the police department, telling me that they've found my stolen car. I was 100% awake by the time I heard the news, and I called up my family members to let them know.

Took a trip down to the local police station to get all the documents ready and to find out what's the current condition of my car. The police told me I had to go to the Bentong police station (where the car was found and currently situated) to really know what's the condition of my car. My housemate was kind enough to offer me a ride to Bentong to claim back the car. And off we went, on a super busy and super jam day, a trip to this place I've never been to, my entire life. Took us 3 hours to get there, on what would be a ~1.5 hour trip, normally.

As we got to the police station, there it was, I saw my car, or what's left of it, lying lifelessly on the parking lot. As we inspected the car, my whole heart broke into a million pieces, all over again. Everything that can be sold for profit had been removed from my car. And all that's left was this empty shell, with 4 car seats and an incomplete engine. I now know how it feels to have lost something so close to my daily life, twice. And it felt so much worse the second time around, because I had my hopes all high again.

At the end of a tiring trip, I've decided to leave my car at a local workshop for a chance to be tendered by any interested party. On our drive home, my housemate unintentionally handed me my car keys; which he had kept on for so long, hoping it would be back in use someday; cos he had no reason to keep them anymore.. And it hurts like hell.. That feeling.. so helpless.. so painful...

The carving of an anthem - "So What"

Song Title: So What
Artist: P!nk (Pink)
Album: Funhouse (2008)
Genre: Pop Rock

Writer(s): Pink, Max Martin, Shellback
Producer(s): Max Martin

Finally, a chart topping hit that is bigger than all her previous effort. It had the combination of all the right elements. The verse is a cleverly crafted hook that has only ONE line, repeated all over and emphasized by the guitar line. It will have you singing in no time. While the chorus has this anthem-like feel (kinda like a heavier version of Girlfriend) that will have the crowd shouting and rocking everytime it hits. Coupled with the right words (lyrics), and you have this uplifting and independent-spirited break-up theme song.

Btw, did I mention that this song was a nominee of the Best Female Pop Vocal Performances at the 2009 Grammy?
